THE LOCATION

The property’s perfect location on the Atlantic Seaboard allows you to feel the city’s pulse when you step out onto the always-bustling promenade, be it for a walk or just to breathe in the sea air and feel the vibe. Foodies and wine lovers will be spoilt for choice, as you are surrounded by a host of world-class restaurants, where you can wine and dine in the finest style. Spend lazy days tanning and exploring the rocks at the famous beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, just around the corner from the apartment, or head to the vibrant city centre, the popular V&A Waterfront or Green Point Stadium. The apartment’s proximity to all of these attractions makes this the perfect base to get to know the rest of Cape Town and all it has to offer.

On Point is a magnificent retreat designed for luxurious holiday living. Spacious, stylish living spaces and all-embracing views give this contemporary seaside apartment an elegant appeal. It was designed to maximize comfort while maintaining an element of sophistication and luxury.

The main living area features a beautifully appointed and elegantly furnished living area with plush décor in natural hues. 

The open-plan kitchen spills out onto the dining area with a large 8-seater dining table that is linked to a central cooking island. All the appliances are top-of-the-range and coffee lovers are spoilt for choice with no less than 3 different coffee machines to choose from.

Sliding stacking doors in the living and dining areas open onto a wooden deck with a gas braai (BBQ), 6-seater table and a cosy nook to enjoy late afternoon sundowners from.

Inside, there are 3 en-suite bedrooms with air-conditioning that can sleep up to 6 guests. The luxurious master bedroom has a king-size bed with lovely views of the ocean. It leads into an open bathroom with a magnificent large oval bathtub, double vanities and a deluxe double shower. 

The other two guest bedrooms have king or twin beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers, and built-in cupboards. 

The apartment is fully secure and has an inverter that runs the main lights during load-shedding. It is located on the third floor, and can be accessed by one of 2 elevators located inside the building.

There is secure off-street parking for two cars.

HOUSEKEEPING: The apartment is serviced 3 times per week by our lovely domestic worker. She comes in every morning for a couple of hours to do a general clean. Should you require someone to come in daily, we can try to arrange it at an additional cost.

COFFEE STOPS AND RESTAURANTS FOR EVERY OCCASION

SEA POINT PROMENADE
We love to walk and run along the promenade, stop for a coffee or sit down to a lazy breakfast. Why not start your day at one of our favourite spots:

  1. JARRYDS Brunch & Bistro is just a 5-minute walk away from your stay. Their breakfasts are fantastic, their pastries are moreish and their coffee is great. 
  2. Truth Coffee Cape Town won the coveted title of  “The World’s Best Coffee Shop” in the UK, so this is a MUST.
  3. Origin Coffee Roasting is another favourite amongst locals that is definitely worth the stop. 

CAMP’S BAY PROMENADE
Fit to feature as a sexy beach location in a Hollywood movie, the palm-lined Camp’s Bay promenade is known for its buzzing bars, chic cafés and glorious beach… no wonder it’s one of the most famous beaches in Cape Town. 

  1. Giovanni’s – the best deli in Cape Town… you just have to go!
  2. Three Wise MonkeysIn the mood for Asian food? Their ramen bowl is everything… and they are only a 5-minute walk away from your stay. 
  3. Dias Tavern great Portuguese food… we recommend the Portuguese steak, egg and chips.
  4. Willoughby and Co – incredible sushi… try the 5×5 platter. Please note – they do not take reservations.
  5. Belly of the Beast – My favourite restaurant in the country. Booking essential.
  6. Fyn Restaurant a unique Africa-meets-Japan fine dining experience, perfect for a special occasion.

Distance: 5.5 km, return
Time: 2 hours, return
Total Elevation Gain/Loss: 650 m
Start Point: Start the hike on Tafelberg Road, about 1,5 km past the Lower Cable Car Station towards Devil’s Peak.
Finish Point (on the top): 700 m away from the cable car station
Difficulty: 3/5
Terrain: Expect footpaths, rocks, and boulders
Parking: Find a parking spot right at the start of the trail or look for parking along Tafelberg Road.

KAYAK ALONG THE ATLANTIC SEABOARD

No visit to Cape Town would be complete without going to the famous V&A Waterfront. Hop on a boat and enjoy the stunning scenery from the water, or explore the waterfront on foot while eating some heavenly gelato. They also have amazing stores, so make sure you have enough time to do some shopping.
